3 The Geddes Institute A history of monitoring area-based regeneration in Dundee, working with Dundee City Council Priority Partnership Areas 1995 - 1997 Social Inclusion Partnerships 1997 – 2005 – Area based regeneration initiatives Community Regeneration Fund 2005 – 2008 – Part of Community Planning process – £17.4 million awarded to Dundee over three years

4 Community Regeneration Fund Scottish Executive Community Regeneration Fund (CRF) has allocated £17.4 million to Dundee Funding spread over 2005 – 2008 To be spent in areas identified in Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) Outcomes, actions and targets documented in the Dundee Regeneration Outcome Agreement (ROA) Monitoring arrangements built around Scottish Executive requirements

5 Regeneration Outcome monitoring 25 outcomes, across 6 themes: Building Strong Safe Communities Getting People Into Work Improving Health Raising Educational Attainment Engaging Young People Effective Community Engagement
