4 Practical Read the protocol for DNA extraction from cheek cells. Carry out the practical. At each stage, try to remember what is happening (i.e. why each solution is added / each stage is done)

5 Assignment 4 Complete the practical ‘Extraction of DNA from cheek cells’ and write up a report on the technique. You should include the following: Introduction – detailing the process (some background research needed) Apparatus Method Results – observations including diagrams/photographs. Conclusion – Is this an effective technique for extracting DNA? Evaluation – Could the procedure be improved or developed further? P6Carry out basic DNA techniques 1
