2. Overview of Alexander’s Life Birth: 356B.C. In 340 b.c. Alexander’s father left him to rule as regent in his father’s absence Became king in 336b.c. Conquered the Persian Empire in 334b.c. Died in the spring of 324 b.c.

3. Early Years When Alexander was a child his father transformed Macedonia Furthermore when Alexander was 12 he tamed a horse that was considered untamable in front of his father which made his father believe he was going to be a great leader

4. Education At 13 years old Alexander’s father hired Aristotle to be Alexander’s personal tutor Over the next three years Alexander was taught in rhetoric and literature, along with many other subjects. These skills helped him greatly in later years

5. Great Battles Battle of Granicus: In Alexander’s army there were 25000 Macedonians, 7600 Greeks, and 7000 Thracians and Illyrians. 8. Death Alexander died because of Malaria. This Malaria caused a High Fever. The fever destroyed Alexander’s ability to talk or move. This ended his life.
