4. Paul wants us to focus on spiritual truths about our relationship with Christ.’ V 1: we have been raised with Christ. V 3: our life is now hidden with Christ in God. V 4; we will appear with Christ in glory

5. How can we set our mind on Jesus and His kingdom? Read the word Invite the Holy Spirit to fill us everyday Start your day with Holy Spirit Find out what your spiritual gift is and use it Take time to Worship and pray When making decisions ask yourself, will this bring me closer to Jesus or further away from him? Make a commitment to be faithful

6. Put to death what belongs to your earthly nature.

7. How can we put to death the old sinful habits? Don’t feed them. Count yourself dead to them. Romans 6 v6-7 10-11 Live to please God. Rom 12 v1 Be transformed by the renewing of our mind with Gods word. Rom 12 v2 Choose to produce to produce the fruit of the Spirit V 12

8. V 13. Bear with each other and forgive one another. How can we do that? Remember how Patience God is with us. Remember that God has forgiven us. v13

9. v14 Put on love V 12 By remembering that we are chosen and dearly loved by God.

10. v 16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you.

11. Why is the Word of God able to transform us? 2 Tim 3 v16 It is God breathed Heb 4 v12 It is living and active Heb 5 11-14 It is food for our spirit James 1 v22-25 It is a mirror to show us what we are like on the inside. John 4 Jesus used the Word to rebuke satan. John 16. The Holy Spirit uses the Word to teach us

12. How can we get the Word to dwell in us and change us? Read it Meditate on it Memorize it Study it Sing it Listen to it Watch it on TV Live it out everyday.

13. Is it hard or easy?
