2 Who are we writing for? Crafty Kids is a parent and child friendly website that they can use together. The site is intended for children aged 4-9. Our aim is to produce a website that is beneficial and educational yet entertaining and fun! There will be content for two audiences- the parent and the child

3 What is the site about? The children’s section will be fun, simplistic and educational. Our content will cover; how-to guides, recipes, arts and crafts and outdoor activities. The adult’s section gives information on the children’s activities, detailing how it is educational. A link will be provided on the activity page for the parents to visit.

4 Journalistic content Professional section for adults will include: Q&A interviews Interviews News Features on educational trends

5 Our site and strategy We are using 4 main categories on the site: Recipes Arts and Crafts Outdoors Fun and games Blogger Dropbox The fox

7 Production schedule We plan to create a weekly schedule for our content. This will regard frequency of posts for our website and all social platforms. Posts around seasons e.g Christmas, we will upload more than 2 pieces a week.

9 Who does what? As it is a group project we are creating equal content for the site. However, there is an editor for each section who will proof read each article before it is published. The reason for this is to help prevent typographic and style guide errors.

10 Group management We have set up a Facebook group where we can communicate with each other. We plan to meet weekly to discuss content and ideas for our project.

11 Style guide CHILDREN: 250 words max per post. Typography: Sassoon primary infant. Font size: Medium. Simplistic language and short sentences used. Bullet points can be used where necessary. Numbers: in number form, not letters. Paragraph length: 40 words max. Image size: Large. ADULTS & PROFESSIONAL: 500 words max per post. Same typography as above. Font size: Medium. More complex language and sentences used. Numbers - one to nine, 10 and above. Paragraph length: 80 words max. Image size: Large. DESIGN: Colours used: Green, yellow, orange, red. Font: Sassoon primary infant

12 Social media strategy What we have; Outlook, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest What we don’t have: Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, Tumblr
