Performance management of dependant sister “ Rolla “ Reema Shunnaq winter08

The purpose To reinforce Rolla behavior of putting her material (paper, pencils, roller, models … etc ) on her disc rather than keeping them every where in the house (living room, kitchen,etc )so that me and my mom don ’ t have to pick them up them all the time.

The Goal To get Rolla put her materials on her disc so the house will be clean and me and my mom wouldn't need to do that for her all the time.

Base line The phase of an experiment or intervention When the behavior is measured in the absence of an intervention. I took base line data for one week During base line me and my mom picked up her material that were left on every where except in her disc and putting them in her disc

Days=#of materials left off Saturday=18 Saturday=18 Sunday =10 Sunday =10 Monday =12 Monday =12 Tuesday =15 Tuesday =15 Wednesday =17 Wednesday =17 Thursday=13 Thursday=13 Friday=6 Friday=6

Base line contingency The contingency was an analog to avoidance Leaving her Material every where Will be late Tomorrow Will not be late

I was accidentally reinforcing the undesirable behavior of leaving her material on the floor (living room) by picking them for her and put them on her disc having her material on her disc so then I gather them to her in there pocket so that she can tack them on the next day to her university and don ’ t forget any of them and don ’ t be late.

Intervention time During the intervention which was tow weeks, I told Rolla that she must put her material on her disc by the end of each day or else I will not gather them to her and she will be late in the next day. The performance management contingency for intervention was a rule-governed analog to a voidance

Rule-governed contingency. Behavior put her Material on her disc Before will be Late tomorrow After 9 pm Sp Before 9pm I will not be late Will be late

Reinforcement When a behavior is reinforced it will occur more frequently, so me and my mom said to her “ good girl ” “ nice job ” every time she put her material on her disc or saw that he had put her materials on her disc. This creates an additional reinforcement depending on when I and mom said good girl or having praise from mom. Reinforcement contingency is the immediate, response contingent presentation of a rein forcer resulting in increased frequency of that response.

Reinforcement contingency Before no praise Behavior putting Her material On her disc Praise

Punishment and Escape Also, where ever me or my mom pick up her material we complained about that. So this was additional punishment and escape contingency

Punishment contigency No complaining Putting her Material every Where Complaining

Escape contingency Before Complaining Behavior Put her material On her disc After No complaining

Result I took data for nine days and the interventions process very will. I took data for nine days and the interventions process very will. There were too many material thrown every where in the first three day of the intervention and when she find that we are series about the rule we put to her and we didn ’ t pick up her material and so I didn ’ t gather them to her so she was late in these days.then she begun to put her material on her disc. 19 Next time I will let her gather her material alone and be more independent girl Next time I will let her gather her material alone and be more independent girl
