5 Vega On H-R Diagram

6 Vega In Relation to the Sun!
Vega is much hotter than the sun, the Sun’s surface temperature being 10,000 F and Vega’s at a whopping 13,800 F It is 25.3 light years away from the sun. The sun is yellow where as Vega is blue. The reason the sun is yellow is that it is in the later stages of its life meaning it is less bright.

7 Life Cycle Vega was formed by a Nebula, which is a enormous cloud of gas and dust caused by a star exploding. Vega is currently in the early stages of its life. Its next stages include a red giant, a super nova and a black hole or a neutron star.

8 Fun Facts! Vega is the fifth biggest visible star in the night sky.
It is 25 light years away from earth. Other than the Sun, Vega was the first star to have its picture taken. Vega is 2.11 M☉. M☉ is an astronomical unit of measurement, one M☉ is the size of the sun It is the second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere. Vega is 9,500 degrees Kelvin. Vega’s diameter is 2,725,419 miles. Vega is 500 million years old. Vega’s estimated life time is 1 billion years old.
