Its name derives from the lyre, a stringed musical instrument.
It has been known as “the infant saviors manger” or “King Arthurs Harp” and “King Davids harp.”

Vega is much hotter than the sun, the Sun’s surface temperature being 10,000 F and Vega’s at a whopping 13,800 F
It is 25.3 light years away from the sun.
The sun is yellow where as Vega is blue. The reason the sun is yellow is that it is in the later stages of its life meaning it is less bright.

Vega was formed by a Nebula, which is a enormous cloud of gas and dust caused by a star exploding.
Vega is currently in the early stages of its life. Its next stages include a red giant, a super nova and a black hole or a neutron star.
