3. Opportunities for Improvement Technology Support for Teachers This position would be called… Instructional Computer Support Specialist Or ICSS

4. What Would This New Role Look Like? An ICSS would be hired at the high school, middle school and be shared among the elementary schools. Hold mandatory training for the district on all new technology hardware and software that is introduced Hold optional workshops for specific needs at each school Would support the integration of technology for curriculum that is currently being used Would be responsible for troubleshooting problems that teachers are currently experiencing

5. Why Do We Need an ICSS? Students are constantly exposed to technology, therefore it makes sense for it to be incorporated with their daily instruction. Teachers need support with this! State testing is only given online and the students need to be exposed to technology at a younger age. Students will benefit from the multitude of technology software available which can be incorporated to enhance the learning experience. An ICSS will be in charge of finding this software for our district.
