2  Ashton Kutcher  Ashton Kutcher was born in Cedar Rapids.  He also went to Iowa University.  There is also a memorial for him in Iowa.

3  Corn  Corn is Iowa’s main crop.  1 bushel of corn is worth $7.88.

4  Deer  Deer live for about 20 years.  There are about 100 different types of deer.  White-tailed deer are most common in Iowa.

5  Eastern Goldfinch  It is Iowa’s state bird.  It has a gold coat.  It eats small insects.

6  Field  Iowa has many fields that are used to grow crops.  A lot of people think they look like waves.

7  Gypsum  It is rare in Iowa.  If you look in the ground you can see it.  It’s usual color is clear.

8  Herbert Hoover  He was our 31 st president.  He was born in West Branch, Iowa  There is a memorial in West Branch for him.

9  Iowa City  Iowa City was Iowa’s first state capital.  It has a lot of shops and restaurants.

10  John Wayne!  John Wayne was a famous movie star.  He was born in Winterset, Iowa.  There is a memorial in Winterset, Iowa.

11  Kate Shelley Bridge  It stands 185 feet above the Des Moines River.  It is 2,685 feet long.

12  Lt. Albert Lee  He was born in Iowa.  He was born on Aug. 7,1856.  He died on July. 28, 1923.

13  Mississippi River  The Mississippi River is the border between Iowa and Nebraska.

14  Nashua’s Little Brown Church in the Vale  It was built in 1856.  It is a historic place in Iowa.  It is the smallest church in the USA.

15  Oak Tree  The oak tree is Iowa’s state tree.  Oak tree wood is used in many houses because it’s wood is so strong.

16  Public Land  Our public land is a representative of our town and state.  One of our well liked peaces of art is in Bayliss Park in Council Bluffs.

17  Quarter  Iowa’s state quarter.  Some quarters that are from the 1800’s can be worth up to $100.  Here are some quarters that are  old and new.

18  Snow  Snow is very common in Iowa.  We got lots of snow each year.  The most I have ever encountered in my life is 5ft of snow.

19  Teacher  Teachers at Underwood School’s who teach fifth grade are Mrs. Ross, Ms. Hultquist, and Mrs. Johnson.

20  Underwood  Underwood is a small town in Iowa near Council Bluffs, Iowa.  The town has a population of 917 people.

21  Veteran’s Monument  Veteran’s Monument is located in McClelland, Iowa.  It is for all the people who have served in some kind of war.

22  Grant Wood  He was born on Feb. 13, 1891.  He passed away on Feb. 12, 1942.  He was famous for this picture.

23  X-Games  X-Games are very complicated and skillful sports.  They were once in Iowa but it is not coming this year. Here are some pictures from when they were here.

24  Yellow River State Park.  It is 1,500 acres.  The park was purchased in 1935.  It is located in Harper’s Ferry, Iowa

25  Zearing, Iowa  Zearing was bought on Oct.17, 1881.  It has a population of 617 people.
