4. Because He is trying to teach us something (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) –Humility –To rely on His grace –To trust His power many who waited long years for healing learned this important lesson (John 5:5; Luke 8:43-44; 13:11)

5. Why Would God Say Because God takes His time creating beauty (Ecclesiastes 3:11) To help us learn to trust His wisdom –Zacharias waited long for a son; the event occurred in God’s time, according to His plan (Luke 1:13, 17)

6. I asked God for strength, that I might achieve. I was made weak, that I might learn to obey. I asked for health, that I might do greater things, I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches, that I might be happy. I was given poverty, that I might be wise. I asked for power, that I might have praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life, I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing I asked for, but all I hoped for. I am among all men, most richly blessed!
