1. An Election for Council members will be held on Tuesday March 3 rd.

2. The Citizens of the Town have been recommended to vote out the current commission, by the Grand Jury.

3. Greg Deffner and Jessica Pepper are running for ward 4, against Brad Bechtel.

4. Deanna Whitman is running for ward 3. Against Piccola Hudsonpiller

5. Deanna Whitman was born in Blackwell on 4-5-54 she is 54, and a graduate of BHS in 1972. Majored in Business Management at NOC. She a USMC mom, her daughter and son in law is stationed at Quantico, Virginia at Marine Headquarters.

6. Deanna worked as manager for TG&Y for many years, before working as a controller for NW OSU, she was recruited in 1983 to work in management for Wal- Mart Stores Inc. Managed 150 + employees, and the management teams.

7. Deanna also worked as auditing, accounting and human resources, and worked directly with city councils and local boards in many cities. She is qualified.

8. Jessica Pepper has lived in Blackwell for over 10 years, and has many relatives in Blackwell and Kay County, she has 4 children. She continues to work full time while raising 4 children, and has written books, developed web sites, and is devoted.

9. Jessica Pepper will bring new energy, a fresh approach, and Christian ethics to government. She wrote the majority of the Grand Jury Question, and knows the problem(s) that must be fixed.

11. Greg Deffner the only outlaw of the group is running so we have two shots of getting rid of Bechtel. He has a colorful past an everything you have heard about him is probable true.

12. Greg Deffner holds the 1 st 2 nd and 5 th Amendments dear, and has fought many battles, and is alarmed about what is happening throughout the country. Our local votes do count, it starts here.

15. The Grand Jury Challenge.

17. On the 9 th the grand jury convened, in the 1 st hours they were selected and seated, they went to all jails and inspected them, this took at least one day, lunch, instruction, breaks, ect. This was on Tuesday.

18. They worked from about 9 to 4 each day with 1 hr lunch and two 15 min breaks, this leaves 5 ½ hr of real time each day. So Wednesday and Thursday they worked and they did not work Friday or over the weekend.

19. They came back Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, during this time they heard from the few witnesses called. So that took out an entire day, and they wrote the report Thursday morning and quit at noon.

20. So in 4 days or 22 hours they read 80 questions, a 350 page book and went over 92 exhibits. If you divide the hrs worked and 80 questions that comes to 16 minutes per question. Now you got to work in the 92 exhibits and the 350 page book.
