His bill, HB4002, passed the house and was scheduled to be effective July 2015. CAMPUS CARRY BILLS: 2015 HB 4005 - Guns on campus everywhere SB 176 - Senate companion to HB 4005 We defeated them!

3 CAMPUS CARRY - 2016 HB 4001/SB 68 They’re back! Same bills, same sponsors. HB 4001/SB 68: Same bill as in 2015. No restrictions. Guns are allowed anywhere on property owned or leased by the university system. Economic impact on state’s 28 colleges: $74 million Florida’s Stand Your Ground Laws, affording immunity from prosecution, will extend to campuses. Policy will increase the numbers of firearms on campus.

10 WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN A SEXUAL ASSAULT Majority of assaults happen among people who know each other. Half of assailants reported to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the attack. 1 in 10 rapes involves a weapon. Most likely factors present during an assault indicates defensive use of firearms likely to be unsuccessful. HB 4001/SB 68 will arm perpetrators, too.

15 Ten University Chiefs of Police testified in opposition to both SB 176 and HB 4006 Following their testimony lawyers for Florida Carry Inc. filed ethics complaints against each. Case was dismissed due to “lack of legal sufficiency”.
