3. Buivydiškės Buivydiškės is a village in Vilnius district municipality, Lithuania. According to the 2001 census, it had 1,493 residents. The village has a technical school for agronomy and zootechnics, established in 1961. The school helped the village to grow from 190 residents in 1959 to 1,265 in 1970. Buivydiškės became a suburb of expanding Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. In 1996, part of the settlement was transferred to Vilnius city municipality.

4. The capital city Vilnius is 3 kilometers from Buivydiškės. Our school has got 64 students who are between 6-12 years old. The pedagogical staff includes 8 teachers and administration. Our school participates in international projects and project activities. One of the major project – Buivydiškių Manor‘s Day. The project task – restore Manor‘s traditions and organize stronger relationship between members of community. Every May we are inviting handicraftsmen, artificers and blacksmiths. They introduce their trade and craft and organize lessons for students.

13. Capital City Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania, situated on the banks of the rivers Neris and Vilnia, was founded in 1323 when Grand Duke Gediminas built a Castle there. Today the tower of this Castle is one of the landmarks and symbols of the city. The old Town of Vilnius is one of the biggest (360 ha) and oldest in Eastern Europe. The magic atmosphere, the magnificent splendid architectural blend of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism styles makes this wonderful city to explore. In 1994 Vilnius Old Town was included into UNESCO heritage register.

14. Nowadays Vilnius is a modern European city, a political, economical, cultural, educational, trade centre of the Republic, the biggest town in the country with a population of about 550 000. Vilnius has been rapidly transformed, and the town has emerged as a modern European city. Many of its older buildings have been renovated, and a business and commercial area is being developed into the New City Centre, expected to become the city's main administrative and business district on the north side of the Neris river.

15. Come to visit!!! Almost half of Vilnius is covered by green areas, that is, parks, public gardens, natural reserves, and others. Additionally, Vilnius is host to numerous lakes, where residents and visitors bath and have barbecues in the summer.
