2. The SOS Project was the first ex-offender led project of its kind. The SOS Project is based upon St Giles Trust’s ground breaking Peer Advice model SOS was developed by an offender whom; whilst in custody who saw the same offenders return time and time again each time for slightly different offences. SOS in Lambeth The SOS Lambeth Caseworkers work with under 25’s who are involved in gang and serious youth violence causing concern in Lambeth The aim of the service is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within Lambeth to effectively and efficiently use existing resources in a targeted and focused way The SOS Lambeth project is embedded into a multi-agency partnership the GVRU (Gangs Violence Reduction Unit) and includes agencies such as; Met Police, DWP, Probation, YOT,

5. The Support Frame We support clients around the 7 Pathways to rehabilitation which are: Accommodation and support Education, Training and Employment (ETE) Health Drugs and Alcohol Finance, Benefits and Debt Children and Families Attitudes, Thinking and Behaviour

6. What we do: We engage with young offenders in prison and in the community. We adopt a holistic, client centred approach which takes into account all their needs and build a support plan with them around future goals We challenge their behaviour and do attitudinal work which encompasses them, their communities and victims We support them into education, training, employment and assist with family relationships and accommodation We work intensively with young people to reduce re-offending and create positive change in their lives

7. We offer Through the gate support Time, opportunity and innovative ways for change. Pro-active, On-going support. Non time-bound caseloads Support that is tailor-made and sensitive to the client and victim’s needs

Referral Routes & Criteria Clients must appear on the Lambeth Gangs Matrix ( but we have the capacity to work with those who are not on the Matrix but have been identified as a cause of concern) Clients can be referred through YOT & Probation or GVRU team Clients must be aged between 12 - 25 Under 18’s will be working with Jamie Lowe 18’s and over will be working with Toni Harriott & Antonia Ejoh-Steer
