1. Status of Muon Activities W.Baldini, N. Bondar, O.Maev, B. Schmidt LS1 Meeting Dec. 20-rd 2013

2. Present Status Maintenance and consolidation activities: – Grounding improvement done on: M2A-C front, M2A-back, M3A-Front, M3A back ongoing (2 chambers unmounted). Still 7 chambers to go. – PS and Turbines maintenance: PS DONE! Turbines on B1 (primary PS) and D3 (TELL1 crates) under maintenance HV doubling (PNPI): – Hardware of A-side is ready to be tested – Master modules for C-side ready, the HW installation will be completed by the end of Jan. Migration to WINCC completed apart a few HV projects. It was not possible to check if everything is still working due to the PS and cooling not available. We are turning on the system now. Proposed Plan for the next activities Detector Consolidation: By Jan 31-st: end of work on chambers (grounding improvement, ferrite filters, etc..) on A-side 3-4 weeks in Feb. for the commissioning of A-side: – Connectivity test – Threshold scan – Noise run – Fix possible problems Moving of nacelles to C-side (~1-1.5 weeks, end of Feb. beginning of march) Start work on C-side (~3 months, until end of May) Commissioning of C-side (June) ECS Check of projects migration as soon as the detector is ON (hopefully already in the next days, if water cooling is stable….) ECS meeting on Jan. 30 to organize the work toward ECS 2.0, Davide will send more infos asap 3

4. Proposed Plan for the next activities (II) HV-Doubling Hardware of A-side is ready to be connected and tested, C-side will be ready by end of Jan. We need 2 Credit Card PCs for the control system, control programs have to be installed on them (Mikhail) ECS-HVprojects should be updated asap (in Dec. it was not possible due to PCs off for cooling shutdown) Tests of the whole doubled system with HV cables unplugged from chambers Cables connections 4
