8 1. Go to “pbwiki.com”pbwiki.com 2. Click on “Create an account” 3. Use your GCSD email to create an account 4. Check your GCSD email for notification from pbwiki 5. Click on the pbwiki link in the email to get started 6. Click on “Home” 7. Click on “Create a wiki”

9 8. Click on “Create an academic wiki” 9. Choose a wiki address name 10. Click on “For Education” 11. Choose “K-12 Classroom” from the dropdown bar 12. Choose “Collaborative Classroom” from the “wiki purpose’ dropdown bar 13. Click “next” 14. Complete security settings and click “Take me to my wiki”

10 Parts of a wiki  Front Page – acts as your home page and will always be the first page people see when they log in  Sidebar – can be used for many purposes, best use is as a table of contents (you can make each entry a hot-link to an additional wiki page)  Create a Page - lets you add new web pages to your wiki

11  Upload Files - allows you to upload pictures, sound files, videos or documents from your computer or from the internet Now get creative and have some fun!
