11 Safety Rules (scroll saw) Always wear eye protection. Be sure to install the blade in the vertical position with the teeth pointing down. Protection from sawdust getting in your eye.

12 Safety Rules (scroll saw) Check the belt guard to see that it is closed and tight. Adjust the hold down foot to the thickness of the stock being cut. Do not allow your fingers to get any closer than two(2) inches from the blade when cutting. Keep your fingers to the side of the blade, never in front. Cut round stock by holding it in a V-block fixture. Stop the scroll saw before you make any adjustments.
