4. Iraq War The Iraq war was started in March of 2003, But the U.S. and Britain have had a undeclared war for about twelve years. Within hours of the attacks of September 11th, 2001, on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, which killed over 3000 people, the Bush was blaming Osama bin Laden and his alleged Al-Qaeda network, and declaring a war on terrorism. Bush was already- preparing plans for massive bombing raids against Afghanistan.

5. Saddam Hussein In 1968, Saddam assisted his cousin, Hassan al-Bakr, in the Baathist takeover of Iraq. By the mid- 1970s, he had become Iraq's unofficial leader, a role that he officially took on following al- Bakr's death in 1979. He was sentenced to death.
