3 Q:How is life impacted by the topography of the region? A:Simply put Yellowstone is a tourist attraction that brings in millions of tourist a year, giving the local area a flowing economy. This attraction is based off of the unique features of Yellowstone, such as: Old Faithful, wildlife, waterfalls, hot spring, etc.

4 Q:How is life impacted by the tectonic activity of the region? A:The tectonic activity in the Yellowstone area is very high. In about a years span the Yellowstone area will experience more than 2300 earthquakes. And will experience a significant one roughly every 2 to 3 decades, ranging from a 6 to an 8 magnitude.

5 Q:How is the economy impacted? A:Going back to Yellowstone being a tourist attraction, it brings in good amount of money for the park and the people who are apart of the state.

7 Q:What causes earthquakes in Yellowstone? A:Mantle hotspot activity causes earthquakes in Yellowstone. Q:What is the impact of the earthquakes locally and globally? A:Locally-Structural damage, and at a higher magnitude the damage is far worse. Globally-Yellowstone is considered to be a super volcano and if/when it erupts famine, bottle neck population, and possibly a new ice age would occur.

8 Q:How has the region prepared for future events? A:They really can’t prepare for the eruption that is well overdue. All they can do is watch its activity and try to take precautions to help civilians on a global scale from not dying.

9 Q:What event is anticipated in the future? A:A cataclysmic eruption is expected to occur soon. This is because the eruption is 30,000 years overdue, and each passing year the strength of the eruption keeps growing enormously.

10 Q:How will future events compare with past events? A:It will be far greater than its previous two great eruptions. Its ash fall area will almost cover the entire United States, and damage will also be brought upon the rest of the world. Causing a bottle neck population.
