4 Definition 1. 直接引语( Direct Speech )是指原封 不动的引用原话,把 它放在引号内 , 例如: Mother told me, “You should finish your homework first, then you can go out and play with your friends.”

5 间接引语( Reported Speech ,又叫 Indirect Speech )即用自己的话加以转述,被转述的 话不放在引号内。上面两个例句变成间接引 语应该是: Mother told me, “You should finish your homework first, then you can go out and play with your friends.” Mother told me that I should finish my homework first and then I could go out and play with my friends.

8 直接引语和间接引语 A. 陈述句。由直接引语为陈述句变为间接引语 时,需由 that 引导口语中常被省略. Eg : she said: “I’m late for school.” she said that she was late for school. The girl said “I can dance.” The girl said that she could dance.

10 Where is the milk? What did she say ? She asked where the milk was.

11 Who is my girl friend? What did he say? He asked who was his girl friend.

12 I can fly! What did he say? He said that he could fly.

13 “Do you like to play with the flowers?”I asked the dog. What did I say? I asked the dog if he liked to play with the flowers.

14 Wuu……I like sleeping~~~ What did he say? He said that he liked sleeping.

15 Do you think I’m really happy? What did she say to me? She asked if I thought she was really happy.

16 他们在说什么 ? I am mad at Lana. I am a monkey. I am very cute. He said he was mad at Lana. He said he was a monkey. She said she was very cute.

17 B. 一般疑问句: 直接引语为一般疑问句变为间接引语时,需 用 if 或 whether (选择疑问句只能用 “whether) 来引导。 Eg: Do you like English? I want to know If/whether you like English. “Are you Tim?’’she asked. She asked if/whether he was Tim.

18 C. 特殊疑问句:直接引语特殊疑问句变为间 接引语时,需由特殊疑问词来引导: who,whom,whose,what,which,when,w hy,how,where 等来引导。 Eg: He asked her: ”Who are you ?” He asked her who she was. She asked me: “Why do you like English?” She asked me why I liked English.
