Theme of lessons: Looking at ways to persuade an audience Previously we had read and written persuasive letters, produced persuasive leaflets and watched television adverts.

2. 222 Task: to write, film and edit a persuasive advert Results: The first group – no problems The second group – found it difficult Changes made to planning. Children identified persuasive themes. When watching second one - didn’t understand it. Suggested improvements. The advert was so different and much more persuasive.

3. 333 MAIN FINDINGS Focus Motivation Enjoyment Concentration Audience More critical discussion about specific genre Instant feedback.

Use video as a resource instead of a text
