15 Resumes  Outline format  Leave “white space” (uncluttered look)  Provide Name, address, phone number(s), and email address at the top  Information in chronological order most recent on top  List Education  List work experience (volunteer experience if relates to job)  When appropriate to job, list activities, honors, membership in organizations  NO ERRORS

16 Cover Letters:  Address the letter to a specific person  Error – free and in correct business letter format  Opening letter:  What job you are applying for?  What job you are interested in?  How you heard about the job?  Why Qualified?  Point out items on Resume that are especially relevant to the job  End Letter:  Willingness for interview  Provide additional information  Include references
