Hartmann WP 6: The web portal 6.1.Creation of a seed ontology for the portal Description: To bootstrap the development of the portal, a base ontology will be designed in order to define the principles for the organization of the portal contents. 6.2 Creation of a browsable prototype of the portal Description: The first version of the portal will include standard browsing facilities. Mechanisms for content update and design guidelines will be established. 6.3: Complete ontology and portal Description: The ontology and the content of the prototype portal will be updated in a coordinated way in order to support the required functionality. Ontology query facilities will be incorporated. 6.4 Extended version of the portal Description: Taking as a basis the prototype built in task 6.3, extended facilities will be included into the portal. 6.5 Content upkeep Description: Portal functionality will be made partially compatible with DAML methods; complete access to all deliverables of the network will be provided, as well as collection of state-of-the-art tools for the semantic web.
