1 Chapter 5 proposal AIS-AIM SG #8

2 Initial ideas  Dealing with temporality of the data  Maybe also with the product/service update requirements  There is no major text to be changed in the existing Chapter 6 on “AIRAC”  Problem of FMS data (probably more than 80% of data) that need to be pre-processed and for which the 28 day advance notice is required.  Idea of increased frequency of AIRAC cycle dates (every 14 days) not included. No clear operational benefit identified  Existing 6.2.1 need to be changed to provisions stating that the information shall be received 28 days in advance of the effective date  Temporality (effective date, time of change, temporary amendments, etc.) shall be embedded in the data

3 Three options 1. AIRAC cycle requirements only  As in the current Annex 15 2. Aeronautical information update - focus on products  Including AIRAC requirements  Also including details for how to update each product / service  This means that CH 5 is more logically situated after CH 6  See: [edit online] AMDT 38 - New Chapter 5 - Working version 3. Aeronautical information update – focus on update type  Including AIRAC requirements  Generic requirements for the publication of permanent changes, temporary changes, changes of long duration with extensive text and graphics  This also means that CH 5 is more logically situated after CH 6  See: [edit online] AMDT 38 - New Chapter 5 - Alternative proposal (Alex)
