4. Math Reminders Science/SSReading.We will work in Topics 3-5 -3-9 this week and continue to learn new strategies to help us add 2 double-digit numbers. There will be a quiz on Wednesday, October 14 th. We will be experiment with a mystery soil mixture this week. We will also plant seeds in our three types of SOIL and observe plant growth. There will be a quiz on Thursday, October 15. This is a Theme 1 Review and testing week. We will be reviewing all skills and concepts introduced thus far this year. Students will take the Theme 1 test throughout the week. Grammar will be tests on Thursday, Oct. 15 Spelling and Vocab portion will be test on Friday, Oct. 16 Reading comprehension sections of the test will be broken up and given in sections throughout the week. They are “cold-reads” and students do not have the ability to read the story and study ahead of test day. Questions will be based on the story and identifying the characters, main idea and details.
