4 Primary Economic Activities: Fishing in Cobh. Cobh – suited to Primary Economic Activities – Fishing & Agriculture. It is a coastal town. Although the fishing community is small, some do earn a living this way. Numerous kinds of farm can also be found on the island.

6 Secondary Economic Activities: Manufacturing Students can see evidence of maufacturing around the harbour. There are numerous pharmaceutical plants in Ringaskiddy – some of these can be seen from the top floor of our school!

7 Tertiary Economic Activities: Tourism Pupils will find numerous services provided around the town. Some of these cater to the needs of tourists. Cobh is, to an extent, dependent on the tourist industry for income.
