 Look at that pumpkin!  I love green apples.  They have many toys  which pumpkin?  what kind of apples?  how many?

The function of the adjective is to either describe a noun or pronoun by answering the following questions: Which? What kind? How many?

 That English teacher is boring.  These are my books.  Nouns and pronouns function as adjectives, depending on their function and position.

 More than one adjective may modify the same noun or pronoun. For example, 1) Can you please get me those two green apples?

Adjectives do not always come before the noun or pronoun they describe. An adjective may come after a linking verb and describe the noun or pronoun that comes before the verb. For example Anna is old, but she is young at heart. ( old describes Anna; young modifies she)

In some cases, an adjective may come after the noun or pronoun that it describes. In this case, commas must come before and after these adjectives. Example A balrog, large and fiery, faced Gandalf. ( large and fiery describe balrog)

Adjectives may also precede the noun or pronoun that it describes; in this case, a comma should be placed after the adjective. Example Large and fiery, the balrog loomed before Gandalf. ( large and fiery describes balrog)
