3 Portraits can be of yourself... (a.k.a. self portraits)

4 Or they can be of other people.

5 Portraits are usually of the shoulders and head…

6 ..but sometimes can be of the whole body.

7 Sometimes artists include things in the background that connect to or describe the person…

8 Portraits can be made using different media (types of art materials.)

13 Artists take pictures at different angles and from close up and far away to make us look at a picture in a different way…
