A vision statement is …. – a picture of your ministry in the future; it is your inspiration, the framework for all your strategic planning. – articulating your dreams and hopes for your ministry. It reminds you of what you are trying to build. – it answers the question, "Where do we want to go?“ – a clear and succinct description of what the ministry should look like after it successfully implements its strategies and achieves its full potential. For the Metro North Region that means … Every adolescent in the METRO NORTH REGION will have the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and follow Him.

4 Metro North Region’s opportunity is huge and coverage is just beginning Connecticut Statistics – – 202 Public High Schools – – 192 Public Middle Schools – – 131 Private High Schools – – Approximately 350,000 teenagers Westchester County, NY Westchester County, NY – – 50 Public High Schools – – 48 Public Middle Schools – – 30 Private High Schools – – Approximately 100,000 teenagers Metro North currently serves approx. 10,000 students in 22 areas with 25 staff and 250 adult volunteers (148 committee, 102 leaders) Metro North currently serves approx. 10,000 students in 22 areas with 25 staff and 250 adult volunteers (148 committee, 102 leaders)

Discuss what needs they have and determine how those needs might be addressed. Decide which student groups and develop plans for reaching. Are they having fun? Are they coming back? Campaigners: Whose coming? What is their commitment level? How might YL / WL grow into these student groups? What will you need to do differently or more of?

How are you meeting them? Is there someone that is an “insider” that can introduce you? What do you need to win their trust? Where are you meeting them? What are their interests? Their needs?
