1  Daily Objective: What a surprise—to continue to appreciate the art of reading and writing poems  Daily Assignments:  Read poems on syllabus and share poems  Work on research paper, if time  Read RLARS book, if time  Reminder: Scarevenger Hunt is next class period and please come and help if you agreed to help another period; I will give you an official pass to get out of class

2  Daily Objective: That sometimes by being scared, we learn something about ourselves that allows us to grow into a better person.  Daily Assignments:  Scarevenger Hunt  Work on Poetry Alive!  Work on research paper

3  Daily Objective: To become comfortable speaking and performing in front of a class of like-minded peers.  Daily Assignments:  Poetry Alive!  Work on research paper annotation and paper proposal; due tonight to turnitin.com  Work on RLARS book

4  Daily Objective: To understand that Shakespeare is also awesome and he wrote some plays that were funny in which no one died.  Daily Assignments:  Pass out review guide for Midterm Test on November 6 worth 200 points  Partner Activity: Do p. 65-66 in Guidebook using a Wadsworth book I provide to you  Begin watching The Reduced Shakespeare Co.  Reminder: Scarevenger Hunt is next class period and please come and help if you agreed to help another period; I will give you an official pass to get out of class

6  Daily Objective: To appreciate our youth through the reading of “The View from Eighty”  Daily Assignments:  Read articles from Readings for Writers, including Homelessness Debate, “The View from Eighty” and other articles in syllabus  Continue watching The Reduced Shakespeare Co.  Work on paper proposal for research paper—due tonight at 11:59 pm

7  Daily Objective: To learn to time yourself to write two essays successfully in one class period; to continue to work at writing argument essays.  Daily Assignments:  Write AP Essay #3 (Rhetorical) and AP Essay #4 (Argument)  Reminder: Scarevenger Hunt is next class period and A Day students please come and help if you agreed to help another period; I will give you an official pass to get out of class
