1. Make Your Face, Get Acquainted Materials: White letter size paper Colors Pencils

2. Procedure: This is a “get acquainted” activity that is going to help us get to know a little more about each other in the class. Here are your directions:

3. 1.Fold your paper “hot- dog” style. Print your first name on one side. Leave room for your “face.”

4. 2.On your paper, draw a square if you are male and a circle if you are female. = male = female

5. 3. If you ride the bus or car, draw straight lips. If you walk to school, draw curved lips.

6. 4.If your birthday is in January – June, draw curly hair. If your birthday is in July – December, draw straight hair. Your hair length is up to you. However, the number of hairs should equal your age.

7. 5.If you have light colored eyes (blue, green), draw your eyes like this: If you have dark eyes (brown), draw your eyes like this:

8. 6.Are you a visual person learning best from a picture or drawing? Draw little ears. If you learn best when someone tells you “how to do” something, draw big ears.

9. 7.If you are right handed, draw your eyebrows like this: If you are left handed, draw your eyebrows like this:

10. 8.Put finishing touches on your face as you like. Be creative. Add anything else you wish to enhance your face.

11. 9.Find someone in the class that you do not know that has at least 3 facial characteristics that are the same as yours. Introduce yourself to this person. Compare your similarities and differences.

12. 10. Time for pictures! **Save your Name Tag in your binder. We may use the faces in a later activity!**
