California Water Code Requirements Division 6 Part 2.6 Sections 10610 – 10656 Urban Water Management Planning Act The UWMP Act directs water agencies in carrying out their long-term resource planning responsibilities to ensure adequate water supplies are available to meet existing and future demands. Water Conservation Act of 2009 (SB X7-7) Retail water suppliers are required to set targets and track progress toward decreasing daily per capita urban water use. 20 X 2020 Division 6 Part 2.55 Sections 10608 – 10608.44

6. Water agencies must prepare a plan if they: (1)Supply at least 3,000 acre-feet of potable water per year OR (2)Serve at least 3,000 customers Multiple Service Areas

(1) Notice 60 day notice to cities and counties that the Plan is being reviewed – CAN SEND EARLY Notice to same cities and counties of public hearing Notice of public hearing in newspaper (2) Hold Public Hearing(s)  Review of Plan Allow community input regarding the urban retail water supplier's target implementation plan. Consider the economic impacts of the urban retail water supplier's target implementation plan. (3) Adoption by City Council or Board of Directors These may be combined Public Review and Adoption

9. Within 30 days of adoption, submit to:  DWR,  the California State Library,  any city or county within which the supplier provides water. After submitting to DWR  Within 30 days, supplier and DWR make the plan available for public review  any city or county within which the supplier provides water. This has most likely been accomplished earlier (see above) DWR reports to legislature  December of 2016 DWR submits report on status of UWMPs After Adoption
