4. Evidence  Hein passed a not to the teller.  He ADDMITED to doing the robbery  Other than these things there is not a significant source of evidence Sentence  Awaiting Sentencing  Already went through his Preliminary Trial in May 2015.  Currently being held at Allegheny County Jail.

5. Theory I chose the Social Control Theory because this theory represents that his involvement in his work and his commitment to his job was broken by a previous engagement while off duty. Before the bank robbery Sean was in a fight with a man known as Michael Langer. Michael wrestled the gun off of Sean, who was off duty, and shot him two times, once in the hip and once in the chest. While recovering on pain medications that the hospital had given him, he had become addicted to the pain medications. But soon after the pain medication was not enough and turned to heroin to dull his physical and emotional pain. During this time his whole family had unfolded and the addiction kept getting the better of him.

6. Theory (Cont.) Once Hein was arrested and appeared in front of the judge, he was charged with all counts and was sent to Allegheny County Jail. The judge that Hein was in front of was the same judge that recommended him to the Police Academy. He openly admitted to Channel 11’s Allen Jennings that it was the demons of Heroin that made him rob the bank. Hein had gotten to the point where he started doing the drugs in excess and that made him not want to be around anymore. A couple days later, Shaler police had found the stick up note that said “ this isn’t my first, don’t be a hero.” As of right now he is still awaiting sentencing after his preliminary trial May 21, 2015.
