3. More than 50 videos were shared, over 600 people signed up to the newsletter, 1000+ #OSCEdays tweets sent, and 850 people joined the Facebook group (and continue to). An online and ongoing open platform was developed, which introduced a transparent working methodology and co-created knowledge resources with local organizers Collaboration between large companies (e.g. Coca Cola, Philips, IBM, Veolia), maker, grassroots environmental organizations and NGO’s The Open Source Circular Economy subject was well received in the global discourse and has been invited and spoken at international conferences, political debates and sustainability workshops Participation Collaboration Enabling On the groundOnline Diverse What happened in 2015? Between June 11 th -15 th 2015 teams from 33 cities in 24 countries across 5 continents joined the OSCEdays network and developed local hands-on events on Open Source and Circular Economy. Over the 5-day event, over 1500 people participated in more than 100 projects and challenges, from fashion, to biogas, to packaging. Many are ongoing! Around the world

MOUANS SARTOUX LONDON BERLINXXXXX A taste of the 2015 challenges and their continuation Challenges in London varied from Circular Make Spaces in collaboration with The Great Recovery and fed into RCA Future Makespace research, The Rubbish Diet looked at building trust with the community to help increase recycling through an app design, as well as Open Energy Monitor leading a team to work on an open approach to mapping their embodied energy and impact. All of these collaborations have continued through projects and other funding opportunities! In Berlin the activities centred around a 5 day packed festival held at Agora. Here a particular stream looked at circular Textiles and built various lasting connections around the world. Alongside this knowledge and global networks to support the upcoming CIRCULR Lab Berlin. Here a group of open source and circular economy experts travelled to the city and engaged members of the community through mapping the city to establish local needs before identifying and working on their challenges. They have met up a number of times since, are developing a toolkit for this and during the OSCEdays fitted in building a bio-digester! Here another more international example? Who knows one that has continued or interesting collaboration story? …..

The Open Source Circular Economy establishes and fosters a global debate and knowledge exchange between people and for people.. CIRCULAR ECONOMY is the concept of a truly sustainable economy that works without waste, saves resources and is in synergy with the biosphere. Rather than categorizing emissions, byproducts, or damaged and unwanted goods as ‘waste’, in the circular economy they become raw material, nutrients for a new production cycle.
