5. The Extinction Of The Dinosaurs The dinosaurs became extinct for many reasons, the most known reason was when the comet hit Earth. The climate was changed (it was colder). Some other reasons was because dinosaurs were running out (diagram next page) in many different ways. Six times in the past, huge numbers of living things have been wiped out in catastrophic mass extinction. The exact causes are unknown. This was very tragic for the dinosaurs.
