2. Historic Buildings Swansea Castle This castle was built for Henry de Beaumont in 1106. In the 15th century, Swansea Castle had a military importance but in the 18th and 19th centuries, the castle had various uses as market, town hall, prison, etc. In the 20th century part of the interior of the castle was demolished.

3. Historic Buildings St. Mary´s Church The Church of St. Mary´s is in the centre of Swansea. This church was built in the 12th century. St. Mary´s is an Anglican church.

4. Tourist Attractions Botanical Gardens They are based in the old garden of Singleton Park. The gardens have a lot of exotic plants. This garden is very beautiful in August. There are a lot of events.

5. Tourist Attractions Rhossily Bay Rhossily Bay is in the western end of the Gower. It is one of the more romantic beaches in the United Kingdom. In this picture we see a beautiful sunset.

6. The Climate Swansea has a wet and mild climate. It has temperatures around 4º C to 6º C. In the summer, the temperature is around 20º C so the best period to be to Swansea is from June to August.

7. F OOTBALL T EAM The Swansea City AFC is a Welsh football club in the city of Swansea. Founded in 1912 and played in the Football League Championship.

8. Catherine Zeta Jones was born in Swansea, in 1969. She is a very famous actor, singer and dancer. She is married with Michael Douglas and she’s done films as ‘’Chicago’’.

Rob Brydon (born Robert Brydon Jones; 3 May 1965, in Swansea, Wales) is a nominated Welsh actor, comedian, radio presenter and impressionist most famous for his role as Keith Barret in the BBC comedy Marion and Geoff and its spin-off The Keith Barret Show. Brydon has worked with a number of comedians and actors, notably Steve Coogan and Julia Davis.
