1. GIJÓN (ASTURIAS) SPAIN

2. Asturias is a region situated on the north of Spain. In this region there is a town called Gij ó n where we live. It has more o less 275.000 inhabitants. The climate is warm, with an average temperature of 15 º. Many years ago Gij ó n was an important industrial city but nowadays the tourism is one of the main resources. Our city has got a lot of beautiful and cultural places to visit: Roman Thermal Baths, the Aquarium, the Barjola ’ s Museum (A famous Asturian painter), the Botanic Garden, the Museum of the Bagpipes … If you come here you can taste delicious dishes like “ fabada ” (beans with sausages) and desserts like ” arroz con leche ” (rice with milk). You can also walk along the famous San Lorenzo beach crowded of people in summer. Have a look at our city!
