4 WORKING HOURS  Long working hours and force overtime to meet production quotas  Unpaid overtime after usually after 11pm  Only allowed two days off per month  No religious leave

5 CONDTIONS LIVING  Factories usually provide housing  Very small rooms  Drinking water is scarce  Food is subsidized and usually has low nutritional content WORKING  Terrible working conditions  Loss of body parts in not uncommon  Compensation given by companies usually isn’t enough to cover medical costs

6 ABUSE PHYSICAL  Abuse by supervisors for mistakes  Rape of young girls until they are pregnant  Workers are beaten for protesting low wages or low working hours MENTAL  Supervisors are trained to verbally abuse workers to make them work harder  Brainwashing in factory housing to promote loyalty

7 EXCUSES  Nike believes that they are “Benefiting Indonesia”  Examples….
