5 Goals ECU Education  Make 3-5 archetypes for how Chess in Schools can be ran  Help the federations/countries with ideas and structure  Provide platform and material for CiS  Teachers courses/ Teach the teachers courses  “Moneymaking” on EU level, and help CiS movements to make money themselves  Make tournaments and events

13 Problems  Federation does not respond to emails/calls  Federation must approve survey results  Federation is too busy  Lack of good data  Researcher stopped or incommunicado

15 Conclusions … so far

16 Conclusions  A LOT OF GOOD PROJECTS!!!  A lot of instruction materials and concepts of giving instructions  Very different structures of CiS in the countries of ECU, depending on financing, school systems, target groups and who runs the project.  Everyone is struggling with financing!  Everyone needs “heavy” scientific proofs that chess develop intellectual and social skills!
