3 Algebra 1A: Grading Details  Grade: 60% tests (weekly quizzes & unit tests) 30% homework (generally every night; most often graded for completion/effort) 10% classwork  Extra credit available periodically on homeworks, classworks and tests

4 Algebra 1A: Course Goals  Think mathematically Logic Patterns and Predictions Symbolic Representation  Communicate mathematically Organize work Defend your work Summarize findings  Content Solving one and two-variable equations Manipulating variables Basics of graphing and multiple representations (algebraic rule, graph, table and situation) continue

5 Geometry: Grading Details  Grade: 60% tests (daily quizzes & unit tests) 30% homework (generally every night; most often graded for completion/effort) 10% classwork (PREP grade)  Extra credit available weekly on daily quizzes; periodically on classworks and tests  Honors track  Note on absences
