2 Event  Dodge-Ball Tournament and Speed Read in Burns Back Court!  Thursday October 22, 2015  Expecting 500 participants  Check in begins at 7 PM  Games begin at 7:30 PM and will end at 9:30 PM  $10 Cash or Flexi: tickets on sale the week beforehand and in Greek life suite  Participants will receive a shirt, pizza, DJ entertainment, and fun! Asking for total of $3,095.72

4 T-Shirts for Participants We have a good estimate of 500 shirts at $5 each Total: $2,500

5 Food 5 We are asking for funds to buy 52 pizzas at $11 each including tax Total: $580

6 Promotion  Contact all clubs and organizations, especially first year students  Seaver Wall Sheet, Display Case, Banner, Stakes  Facebook events for Dodge the Arrow  Profile Pictures  Flyers posted in all residence and academic halls (with SLD approval) and St. Robs  Ticket sales in front of the Lair and in the Greek Life Suite with Pi Phi’s present

8 Our Bank Account Balance of $100,213.58 because chapter dues were recently due Breakdown, per person (137 members total): Campus Obligations, $15.00 Chapter Dues, $195.00 Entertainment and Social Events, $175.00 Facility Fee, $7.00 Fraternity Dues, $55.00 Technology Fee & GreekBill Fee, $22.00 Senior Alumna Dues, $35.00 Total: $506.00

9 Philanthropy Budget  $6,815.00 total for the semester  $4,000.00 goes directly to our philanthropy  CAR program in local elementary schools  Donations to non-profits: The Pi Beta Phi Foundation

10 Where is the money going?  Read > Lead > Achieve Initiative and the Pi Beta Phi Foundation  “Which inspires a lifelong love of reading that can unlock true potential creating a more literate and productive society.”

11 Mission Statement and Dodge the Arrow The Encouragement of Learning  Respects the integrity of the individual while at the same time pursuing the common good – Read > Lead > Achieve Initiative Education of the Whole Person  As students learn to “read” what is going on in their own lives and in the larger world, they are encouraged to grow in the skills of personal and social literacy needed for responsible citizenship.
