Waganer, 12-13 Dec 2007 Page 3 Partial Draft of Plant Operations Completed Les Waganer developed and circulated a draft outline, suggested content, introduction (adapted from Mark Tillack’s Power Handling TWG draft report, and suggested goals and objectives. Lee Cadwallader contributed sections on (1) Plant Availability goal of 90%, (2) Safety and Environmental Standards, and (3) State of the Art Electrical Power Generating Plant Operations. Partially developed “Normal day-to-day control operations” Les provided some comments on staffing, degree of automation, and plant health monitoring and predictive capabilities. Lee added some discussion about man-machine interface and required operator actions on a typical plant operation.
