4. ORDER OF OPERATIONS In mathematics, there is a special order that you must follow when doing a problem with many operations. Grouping symbols Exponents Multiplication/Division Addition/Subtraction

5. EXPONENTS What does 5² mean? 5 · 5 which equals 25 The exponent means to write down that many of the “5’s” and then multiply them together So, what does 5³?
