17 In order to have a positive experience in a STEM program, a students needs to: Think critically & solve complex problems Drive advancements in science, technology and mathematics Be self motivated, inquisitive thinkers Work independently and as contributing members of a team, accepting and reacting to improve oneself based on feedback and criticism

18 STEM- What is IT? Science, Technology, Engineering, Math Students participate in inquiry and problem-based instruction that integrates STEM with the traditional content areas Instruction will center on science, technology, engineering, and math as they impact the world around them Each team will work to design and construct integrated projects that incorporate the standards in science, language arts, social studies and math Partnerships and collaboration with local companies, agencies, businesses, and engineers.
