7. Name of Museum King Tutankhamun was buried with over 5,000 objects, and it took an amazing ten years to go through every item! He is also known as King Tut. King Tut was a king, called a pharaoh, of Ancient Egypt, and was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. King Tut was the pharaoh of Egypt from 1332 - 1322 B.C.E, becoming pharaoh at just the age of 9. King Tut’s tomb is located in the ground at Valley of the Kings in Thebes, Egypt. King Tut’s tomb is four underground rooms where Tut was buried after he died, and it is full of riches for the afterlife. One way art shows Ancient Egypt was an important civilization is the beautiful golden mask Tut was buried with. The mask shows that Egypt is an important civilization because they were skilled at using gold, making realistic art, and they used their recourses like the rocks in the mask. Another way art shows Ancient Egypt was an important civilization is the art on the walls. The art is of myths, and proves Egyptians religion was advanced and they also had a good writing system. The last way art shows Ancient Egypt was an important civilization is the amazing shrine in Tut’s tomb. This was made out of wood, holds his organs, and it has a god on each of the four sides, showing Egyptians religion.
