1 FULL LIMB BANDAGE Best applied in a weight-bearing position

2 Items you Need Ointment Non-adherent (Telfa) Pad Soft Cling Gauze Sheet Cotton Brown Gauze Vet Wrap Elastikon Bandage Scissors

3 Step 1: Apply non-adherent (Telfa) pad to wound area with prescribed ointment. Secure with soft-cling gauze if necessary.

4 Step 2: Apply sheet cotton to lower limb for padding.

5 Step 3: Snugly and evenly apply brown gauze to lower limb (6 inch works best). Be careful not to extend gauze over the edges of the cotton padding.

6 Step 4: Apply a second bandage of sheet cotton to upper limb covering either knee (forelimb) or hock (hindlimb). Secure snugly with brown gauze.

7 Step 5: Apply vet wrap (4 inch works best) over brown gauze. Use snug, even pressure and be sure not to extend the vet wrap above or below the cotton.

8 Step 6: Apply the “racing stripe” with Elastikon if desired.
