5 Holi Holi is a religious spring festival celebrated by Hindus. It is celebrated in countries with large populations following Hinduism, such as India, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa,, United Kingdom and United States.

6 Celebration Holi is celebrated by people throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other.

7 Purpose of the Holi The spring season, during which the weather changes, is believed to cause viral fever and cold. The playful throwing of natural coloured powders has a medicinal significance: the colours are traditionally made of medicinal herbs.

8 Holi The festival of Holi is celebrated on the day after the full moon in early March every year. Holi lasts up to sixteen days.
