Shawn Tripam1 Multiplication Tables Easy, fun tricks to help you remember 3 rd grade

Shawn Tripam2 0 x 75,839,376,383,937,565 = 0

Shawn Tripam3 Multiply by 1…  Multiplying by 1 is the easiest multiplication you can do  Any number multiplied by 1 is the same number you started with  1x7=7  1x9,638,852,943 = 9,638,852,943 (you get the same number you start with)

Shawn Tripam4 …  If you can add the same two numbers together you can multiply by 2  When you multiply by 2 you double your number 2 x 2 = 42+2=4 3 x 2 = 63+3=6 4 x 2 = 84+4=8 (Do you see the pattern?)

Shawn Tripam5 3 times table  If you can count by threes you know you multiplication tables of 3 already 0 3 6 9 12 15 18 21 24 27 30 3x0 3x1 3x2 3x3 3x4 3x5 3x6 3x7 3x8 3x9 3x10  Try this fun game! http://www.aaamath.com/mul39a-mult03.html

Shawn Tripam6 Multiplying by 4  To quickly multiply by 4, double the number and then double it again. For example, 4x3=12 3 doubled is 6 6 doubled is 12

Shawn Tripam7 Tips to multiply by 5  To quickly multiply by 5, divide the number by 2 and multiply by 10 5 x 3 = 15 3/2 = 1.5 1.5 x 10 = 15 I can do these in my head!

Shawn Tripam8 Six Tricks  If you multiply 6 by an even number, they both end in the same digit. 6 x 2= 12 6 x 4 = 24 6 x 6 = 36 6 x 8 = 48 6 x 10= 60

Shawn Tripam9 Seven from Heaven Sorry, no easy tricks here! You just got to know you stuff. 7x1=7 7x2=14 7x3=21 7x4=28 7x5=35 7x6=42 7x7=49 7x8=56 7x9=63 7x10=70

Shawn Tripam10 Crazy Eights!  Like 7, eight does not have any easy tricks either!  However, you double the number being multiplied by 8, 3 times. 8x2=16 2x2=8 x2= 16

Shawn Tripam11 Nine  Hold both hands up in front of you with your palms facing you.  When you multiply by a # bend down that finger. (count left to right until you get to that nunber)  Then read the number left to right 2 x 9 = 182 1 Imagine the 2 folded down 8 fingers left

Shawn Tripam12 10  This is easy!  It’s like multiplying by 1 and adding a zero to the end…  And we already know that 1 x any number is that number 5 x 10 = 50
