7 Globalization Civic Participation – being an involved citizen and being concerned with public affairs of your community, state, nation, and the world. – Rights – benefits and protections guaranteed to you by law. – Responsibilities – duties that you owe to other citizens and your government.

8 Globalization Interdependence – Countries around the world need each other for goods, raw materials, and markets to sell goods. Globalization – development of a world culture and an interdependent economy – Fear this will take away from the traditions and customs of smaller groups.
