Plot Structure Plot is the sequence of events in a story describes the structure of a story.

15. The Monkey’s Paw: Rising Action The Whites make a wish for 200 pounds. Mr. Phipps comes to tell them that Herbert has died and he is giving them 200 pounds. The grieving Whites wish their son back, with the second wish.

16. The Monkey’s Paw: Climax When Herbert, now a zombie, knocks at the door.

17. The Monkey’s Paw: Falling Action Mr. White finds the monkey’s paw and makes the third and final wish: for his son to go back to the grave.

18. Resolution Mr. White stands out in the road, all alone, after Herbert has returned to the grave.
